About the project

The Nordic Lung Congress is the main academic event in Northern Europe for the scientists and practitioners in respiratory medicine. This biennial congress has traditions of almost 100 years and brings together pulmonology specialists from Nordic-Baltic countries and abroad. Its main goal is to provide attendees the programme of workshops, symposia and lectures from top specialists in the field.

The puropse of the project to hold the first Nordic Lung Congress in Estonia, carrying on the traditions and keeping up with quality of previous congresses. Being premier in Tallinn, the congress will introduce Estonia to 300-400 guests, many of whom may be here for the first time. The congress contains a tourist programme, in the range of which we will show the sights of Tallinn, its immediate surroundings and other regions of Estonia as well.

Estonian Respiratory Society is funded with 30,000.00 EUR by Enterprise Estonia (EAS) from the European Regional Development Fund to organise The 49th Nordic Lung Congress. The aim is to present Estonia as the favourable destination for international conferences and congresses.
